Franklin Democrat - February 2, 1906: (in part)

Maudie Scott Harmon formerly of this place was buried at Greenwood Thursday after a lingering illness of that dreaded disease consumption.

Maudie's mother being summoned to come home when she was quite young, Maudie then after a short time made her home with her grandparents, James Harrell and wife.

Maudie was a bright young woman and loved by all who knew her and our sympathy goes out to the grief stricken relatives. Her illness was long and painful and was borne with marked patience and without murmuring.

She leaves a husband, father, brother, sister and half brother.

She died at age 23 years 2 months 15 days.
