Norris, IL - Phyllis Rae Atchley, 73, of 146 Elm St., Norris, Ill., passed away at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Graham Hospital, Canton, Illinois.
She was born March 31, 1937, in Farmington to Leonard H. and Nina Fern (Spence) Senders. She married Nuiel Atchley on Dec. 29, 1954, in Canton.
He survives along with two sons, the Rev. Richard (Debbie) Atchley of Canton and Robbin Atchley of Norris; and one daughter, Carrie (Steve) Christy of Arnold, Md.; one brother, Keith (Rita) Senders of Galesburg; one sister, Mary (Carroll) Barnes of Canton; nine grandchildren, Nuiel (Wendy) Atchley, Denny (Dena) Atchley, Chelsea (Jeff) Jansen, Kenny (Laura) Atchley, Jon (Ashley) Atchley, Brandon Atchley, Jeremiah "Miah" Atchley, Richard Christy and Caitlin Christy; and five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Hannah, Jordyn, Bronson and Peyton Atchley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; four sisters; one daughter, Beverly Atchley; and one grandson, Kyle Atchley.
She was a member of the Norris United Methodist Church.
She worked at Norris Grocery and Holford's Tap.
Burial will be in Foster Cemetery in Fairview.
