Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Green, of Bolton Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Hawley was born and raised in Farmington, W.Va., where he graduated high school. He was the son of the late Okey S. Hawley and the late Ruby Sproles.
After graduation he joined the Navy and served eight years before being discharged. He was a truck driver for more than 20 years before retiring. He was member of the VFW Post No. 54.
Survivors, include a sister, Lucille Ice and husband, Donald, of Mannington, W.Va.; two nephews, Alan Ice of Mannington and David Ice of Ocala, Fla.; two nieces, Donna Lou Ice Hall of Morgantown, W.Va., and Jane Symonda of Hamilton, N.Y.; three great-nephews; a great-niece; and his care givers, Robert and Connie Reynolds and their daughters, Samantha, Carrie and Paula, all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials te to VFW Post No. 54, 617 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79101.
