John Peter Bergquist was born in Sweden Oct 7. I822, was married to Anna Lisa Karlson in March, 1846, she died Oct. 27, 1895. They came to America 1867. Mr. Bergquist died last Thursday the 30 of July, at the age of 85 years. The funeral was Friday Rev. Ottoson officiating. He leaves to mourn him four children all whom are living, Mrs. L. Samuelson, Mrs. J. P Swanson of Ophiem, Mrs. Rev. Edmund of Minnesota and one son Rev. F. A. Bergquist of Chappel, Nebraska. Two children died in infancy. He also leaves 16 grandchildren and many other relatives.
