Earl Everett Peterson was my Great Uncle, my Grandmother Ruth Carpentier Paxon's younger brother…He worked for the Railway Express Corporation, at there East Moline, Illinois office where they shipped all types of farm equipment, combines, disc's, planters and all the repair parts… This predates over the road trucking, as the interstate highway system was not completed… He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps during World War II reaching the rank of Sargent… I will always remember Uncle Earl as the one who taught me to play Chess…
