The youngest child and only daughter of William and Anna Loemker, Norma married Earl Clifford East on 25 May 1935. He was the father of 1 daughter from his first marriage.
Earl worked as a coal miner at Mt. Olive, Staunton and Livingston for 32 years. Later in life, he became a sexton at Worden City Cemetery. He retired in 1965.
Earl died in 1975.
Norma was hospitalized in 2006. She died at Staunton Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 26 days.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m until the beginning of funeral services at 3:30 p.m. on 29 May 2006 at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden. Norma was buried next to her husband.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to Worden Trinity Lutheran Church; the Worden Fire Department; or to Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
