Frances M. "Pink" Flowers was the son of Frank and Edna Flowers.
Francis graduated from Midland school and then went to Klamath High. He farmed in partnership with his brothers and later due to poor health moved to Klamath Falls and went into the insurance business. He retired in 1976 and moved to Brookings, Oregon. He died from a stroke April 9, 1983.
Francis M. "Pink" and Pauline Schreiner married in 1937 and were the parents of Francis Flowers, II born Jan. 11, 1942.
Francis Marion "Pink" Flowers, 68, Brookings, a former long-time Klamath Falls area resident, died Saturday in a Medford hospital.
He was born in California to Francis Joseph Flowers and the former Edna Belloni.
He moved to Midland and Klamath Falls in 1924.
He and his wife Pauline were married Aug. 17, 1937, in Klamath Falls.
In later years, he was a drag line operator. He subsequently changed to farming for several years. He became a partner with his brothers, James and George, in the ownership of a ranch.
Poor health forced him out of active farming, but he continued to serve as manager of the ranching operation.
He later became an insurance salesman.
Mr. Flowers was a dedicated Granger and a member of the Midland Grange No. 781.
He moved to Brookings in 1976. He was elected a director of the Grange Insurance Association. He served in that capacity for about 15 years.
Survivors include his wife Pauline of Brookings; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Cherry Flowers of Olympia, WA; brothers, James and George of Midland; grandchildren, Bruce Flowers of Missouri, Frankie Flowers of Mount Shasta, CA, and Aaron, B.J. and Lori Flowers of Olympia, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.
