Opal Faye McBride Callaham was born Jan. 1, 1921, at Cabool, Missouri.
She was a twin to her brother Ora Ray McBride. The McBrides had 13 children.
Opal's younger brother Paul survives in Missouri.
She married Jonas Albert Callaham on June 22, 1940, in Weiser, Idaho, and they had five children, Linda and Chuck Turner of Burney, Bobbi Graham of Medford, Sandy and Buzz Brown of Burney, Jim and Teresa Callaham of McArthur, and Mike and Susie Callaham of Fort Meyer Beach, Florida.
Opal loved to visit and laugh with her family and friends. She was a great adventurer.
The twinkle in her eye brought joy to all. Her passion in life was her family.
She had a large and extended family and when they all gathered, they had to rent the legion hall.
Opal was a homemaker and mom first. She did find time for a career outside of her home and retired from Bank of America in 1983.
Preceding her in death was her grandson Arthur Leroy Brown III and her beloved Joe in 1993.
Opal is survived by her children, 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She entered heaven from Ashland, Ore., with a smile and a jig in her step on June 2, 2005.
