George Frederick Fuhrman, son of Fred Fuhrman and Ida Hohenboken, was born April 6, 1898, in Boone County, Nebraska. He attended the public schools, in Osceola, Ia, and graduated from the Harris, Ia. High School. He later entered the Weaver Appraising School in Kansas City, Kansas. On Nov., 18, 1945, he was married to Emma Sagert Sweeney, their marriage taking place in the Lutheran church at Las Vegas, Nev. The couple lived in Salt Lake City, Nev. for a time and for the past 14 years have made Windon their home. Mr. Fuhrman was baptized in the Lutheran faith at an early age and confirmed in German in St. Peter's Lutheran church in Ocheydon, Ia. by Rev. Fiene. He worked as a farmer, salesman, and appraiser was and exceptionally good cornetist and a lover of all music. He is survived by his wife, Emma, a sister, Mrs. Lyle Cassel, and one brother, Clarence Fuhrman, both of Manchester, Ia.

A mixed quartet sang two hymns, "This Is My Shephard" and "Heaven Is My Home". Members of this quartet were Margaret Nelson, Darlene Mews, John Paulson, and Gus Orloska. Barbar Kenzke was organist. Mrs. Carl Voth and Mrs. Paul Schmidt arranged the flowers and serving as pallbearers were Walter Moratzke, Ernest Witt, Henry Weins, Mervin Malchow, Carl Otto, and Elmer Salrwedel.
