Rev. Bazel Bivin was the son of Randolph and Rachel (Wood) Bivin. He married Nancy Niblack on 27 Jan 1829 in Clark co, KY. They had 15 children: William J, Elizabeth J, Sarah Ann, Nancy M, James R, Rachel H N, Lieu Allen, Matilda M, John Milton, Louisa, Caroline P, America M, Mordecia N, Peter G, and Mary E. In the mid 1850's they moved their family from Kentucky to Johnson Co, Missouri. Bazel was a Methodist Minister.
