The death of Earl Bogle came as a shock to the community when it was announced last Friday morning. He was traveling for an oil refinery company, became ill while at Moran, Kan., and died Nov. 8 after driving home to Thayer.

Robert Earl Bogle, son of James A. and Martha C. Bogle, was born in Lyon county, Kan., Oct. 8, 1884. He attended school at Bushong, Kan., and came to Thayer, Neosho county, with his parents in 1902. Earl was a likeable youth and quickly made friends.

On Dec. 30, 1903 he married Cora Anders, daughter of Thomas E. and Plume C. Anders. He leaves a wife and child, Ferdlnand Carl, father, mother and sister.
