Mrs. Sarah Bare
Mrs. Sarah Bare, widow of Josiah Bare, died at her home at Jefferson, York County, Sunday morning at 4 o'clock after a long illness. Death was due to apoplexy, Mrs. Bare having suffered several strokes in recent years. She had been bedfast fifteen weeks, and a week before her death was practically unable to speak or move. She was aged 76 years, 5 months, and 12 days.
Mrs. Bare is survived by the following children of a former marriage: Mrs. Edgar Stauffer, Jefferson; Mrs. Jeremiah Nace, Abbottstown; Mrs. Charles Fuhrman and Mrs. Daniel Miller, Jefferson, and Lewis Wolfgang, near Brodbecks.
A brother, Lewis Werner, Brodbecks, and two sisters, Mrs. George Baugher, Brodbecks, and Mrs. Abdel Rohrbaugh, Hanover, also survive. A granddaughter, Mary Wolfgang, lived with the aged woman.
Funeral services from her late home on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Concluding services in the Reformed Church, Jefferson, and interment will be made in the Jefferson Cemetery.
