C. Julius Alberding Died March 11

C. Julius Alberding died at his home in Clay Center at seven o’clock this (Thursday) morning. Mrs. Alberding preceded him in death February 26th. Mr. Alberding is survived by two sisters, Miss Lucy Alberding and Mrs. H.S. Falkinburg and two brothers, L.C. and Henry Alberding of this city. At the time of going to press arrangements had not been made for the last services.

Charles Julius Alberding

Charles Julius Alberding was born in Landale, Germany on February 24, 1871. He came with his parents to America in 1871 and settled In Malta, Ill. September 20, 1881 they moved to a farm east of Clay Center. January 19, 1905 he was united in marriage to Ida Galusha. They lived eight years in Nelson and then in 1913 they moved to a farm east of Clay Center. The last four years they made their home in Clay Center where after a lingering illness he passed away March 11, 1943 at the age of 72 years, 2 weeks and 1 day. Mrs. Alberding preceded him in death February 26, 1943. Mr. Alberding was a member of the Emmanuel church (sic) but was unable to attend services due to his health. He Is survived by two sisters, Mrs. H.S. Falkinburg and Miss Lucy Alberding of Clay Center, three brothers, Henry L. and L.C. Alberding of Clay Center and Ed Alberding of York. Last services in charge of the Rev. Lewien were held from the Clay Center church with interment in the family plot of the Clay Center cemetery (sic).
