IN MEMORIAM: Susan Isabelle Hartzell,was born in Bedford County, PA, April 29, 1846 and died May 2, 1915, aged 69 years, 3 days. She was the daughter of Daniel and Annie Gray Brumbaugh, and was one of a family of 10 children. In 1863, she moved with her parents to Darke County, Ohio, 2 miles south of Jaysville, and lived there until she married Philip Hartzell, June 30, 1870. They had 4 children, all of whom died in infancy. After she married, they moved upon what was known as the Philip Hartzell farm near Pikeville. They resided there for several years, they went to Kansas and about 7 or 8 years ago, they removed to Union City, Ind. where she died. She leaves to mourn, a husband, Philip Hartzell, two brothers Joseph N. Brumbaugh and Daniel S. Brumbaugh.
