Harold George Raab was the youngest of the six children of John Andrew Raab (1873-1937) and Alberta Barbara Harpel Raab (1875-1947). The family ran a truck farm on Putty Hill Road, in Baltimore County, Maryland.
Harold and his wife Edna A Raab (1917-1995)had at least three children: Harold G. Raab, Jr., Edward C. Raab, and Harold J. Raab. At the time of their deaths, Harold Sr. and Edna lived in Taneytown, Carroll County, Maryland.
Many Raabs attended and are buried at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Belair Road, Fullerton. His eldest sibling, Goldie Teresa Raab (1897-1976), married Charles Dietrich Koppelman (1897-1983), a life-long machinist at the Singer Company. He served as one of Harold Raab's pallbearers.
