Smyrna News

Mr Archibald Perry McCRAVEY, 78 years old, a veteran of the civil war, died suddenly Sunday morning of heart failure. Mr McCRAVEY had been in feeble health for sometime but his sudden death was quite a shock to his family and friends.
He had only been a citizen of our town about a year, during which time he made many friends by his cheerful and happy disposition, in the face of advancing years and attendant infirmities. He is survived by his wife, a sister and brother and a host of friends, who mourn his death. Mr McCRAVEY served four years with Leyden's artillery during the civil war. He was a member of the Christian church, and the funeral services were conducted at the residence at 11 o'clock Monday morning by Rev Mr HALL, of Atlanta. His remains were laid to rest in the new cemetery of this place. Our sympathy is extended the sorrowing in their hour of bereavement.
