Born 1819 to parents James M. Blakey (b.1790 Virginia, d.1854 Missouri) and Nancy Branham (b. circa 1790 Virginia, d.1857 Kentucky). No records found regarding childhood. At age 19, married Ewen E. Cameron in 1839 in Warren County, Kentucky. Moved to Benton County, Missouri between 1840 and 1850. At least four children: James E. Cameron (b.1841, d.1921), Mary Eliza Cameron (b.1846, d. unknown), Ann E. Cameron (b.1848, d. circa 1851-1859) and Luella F. Cameron (b.1858, d. unknown). By 1870, moved to Pleasant Hill in Cass County, Missouri. Husband Ewen was a newspaper printer and publisher there. He died in 1887, and Clarrissa, or Clara, apparently lived alone for a time, then later with daughter Luella and her family – in Council Grove, Kansas, per 1905 State census, and in Vernon County, Missouri, per 1910 census.
Note that several Ancestry members cite 1849 as her year of death, apparently because it is mentioned in "A Blakey Book: Being an Account of Those Believed to be Descended from Thomas and Susannah Blakey of Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia" compiled by B.B. Blakey, 1977. But it is wrong. Clara lived a little longer than that. 62 years longer! To age 91!! Thus one could say that rumors of her demise were greatly exaggerated. In fact, I just said it.
