The Montezuma Georgian - June 10, 1925

Mrs. Fannie Ainsworth Gallaher died at the home of her son, Mr. H. N. Gallaher, near Montezuma, Wednesday, May 27th and the funeral was held from the home Thursday afternoon, Bishop William N. Ainsworth of Macon, conducting the service.

Mrs. Gallaher was born in Sandersville, Ga. Dec. 20, 1840 and was nearly eighty-five years old. She was married to Mr. William Gallaher in 1862 and is survived by two living children, Mrs. D. P. Hale of Atlanta and Mr. H. N. Gallaher of Montezuma and several grandchildren. She was an aunt of Bishop W. N. Ainsworth of Macon.

Mrs. Gallaher was a lovely christian character and was a typical type of gracious consecrated, cultured southern womanhood. For some years she had been an invalid, but for years prior, she was most active in church work and was loved and revered by a large circle of friends.

[Note: Frances Ainsworth, wife of William Gallaher - Born December 21, 1839 - Died May 28, 1925 is buried in Felton's Cemetery.]
