Reed Bethers, age 92, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Basin Care & Rehabilitation Center in Roosevelt, Utah.
Born February 14, 1916, the son of William Daniel and Annie Elizabeth McGuire Bethers. He graduated from Wasatch High School. Reed served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned the rank of Captain over a tank division and received six Bronze Stars for his service. There are many things that can be said of Reed. He was a hard worker, he lived simply, and he was very kind. Several other things stand out. He was a master mechanic and could bring any piece of machinery to life. He loved little children and would always remember them and make them feel important. But, what most people will remember about Reed is that he could tell better stories than almost anyone. Reed is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents, one sister and all five brothers. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Basin Care & Rehab for listening to Reed's stories and taking such great care of him.
