Thayne Resident Dies at Local Hospital May 20
Roy Gaydon, 59, well-known Thayne resident died last Saturday, May 20th at the L.D.S. Star Valley Hospital, after two months suffering from complications of a kidney operation.
Roy Gaydon was born in Texas Se[te,ber 18. 1890. On October 14, 1927. he was married to Edna Keeler at Farson Wyoming. They and his wife have had seven children; all are still living. His wife preceded himm in death, having passed away December 31, 1949 in the Salt Lake County hospital.
The following children are left to mourn his loss: Bernice G.Murphy, Etna, Birt and Mickey Gaydon of Thayne, Teddy, Rayma, Ruth and Mary Lue of LaMar Colorado who are living with Mrs Gaydon's sister.
Funeral services were held in the Thayne ward church May 22, 1950 with Bishop Oliver Haderlie presiding, Kenneth Coffman conducting.

Speaker: Calvin Pendleton, he spoke of his association with Gaydon as a neighbor.

Bishop Roy Dana was the 2nd speaker, he told of his pleasure at having some of the Gaydon children join the church.
Vocal Duet: "My Isle of Golden Dreams" by Doris and Elaine Dana.

The grave was dedicated by Lehi Hokanson. He was buried in the Thayne cemetery.
