Mrs. Andrew of Trenton Dies

TRENTON - Mrs. Lydia Lott Andrew, 70, longtime resident of Trenton and wife of Alexander Leroy Andrew, died yesterday afternoon in a Logan hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1893, in Lehi, a daughter of Cornelius Lott and Eliza Jane Clarke Lott. She lived in Lehi eight years, and then the family moved to Kaysville. For the past 53 years Mrs. Andrew had made her home in Trenton.

She married Mr. Andrew Nov. 27, 1912 in Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Andrew had been active in the Church, having served as Primary President, Relief Society secretary and president for 21 years; Mutual president and counselor, visiting teacher in the Relief Society for 23 years, and with her husband, had filled a stake mission.

Mrs. Andrew also had been PTA president affiliated with the Trenton School.

Surviving are her husband of Trenton, four sons and daughters: Donald Leroy Andrew, Rockford, Ida.; Merlin L. Andrew, Trenton; Normand J Andrew, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Dean Carol Andrew, Magnolia, Ark.; Mrs. J. Archie (Mildred) Cottle, who with her husband is filling an LDS labor mission at Tongatapu, Tonga; Mrs. Arthur B. (Mae) Marshall Jr, Mrs. Leland (Laree) Cottle, and Ileen Andrew, all of Logan.

Also surviving are 35 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Clarence Lott, Pocatello, Ida. and Archie Lott, Weston; one sister, Gladys Bingham, Smithfield.

Funeral service will be announced later.
