Riding on a borrowed motorcycle, Wayne Dunn, 20 years old died from injuries received when he crashed into a motor car at Fifth and Ohio Monday night about 8:30 o'clock. He suffered severe head injuries and died shortly after being taken to the Holton hospital. Wayne was the son of Mrs. Mabel Dunn. The accident occurred as Wayne was going west on Fifth street and collided with a car driven by Robert Walkins who was makin a north turn onto Ohio from the west. The motorcycle struck Watkins' right front fender. There was a broken front window ventilator where Dunn's head apparently hit. The impact was not especially hard and little damage was done to either the car or cycle. Watkins said he did not see the motorcycle until after it had collided with him. Wether or not the cycle had lights on was not known. The sheriff's office had no report on the accident. Wayne was a veteran of the last war, having joined the Marines when he was 16 years old. He served for about three and a half years. He recently had been working for the Lindberg Insulating Company. Besides his mother, Wayne leaves a brother, Robert Dunn of Alma, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this Thursday at the Evangelical United Brethern church with the Rev. Thomas J. Miller officiating. Military services ath the graveside will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
