SISSON, CHARLES S. Aug. 21, 1862; taken prisoner at Croatan, N.C., May 5, 1864; died in prison at Andersonville, Ga. Aug. 18, 1864. (from History of the Fifth Regiment of Rhode Island Heavy Artillery During Three Years and a Half Service in North Carolina, January 1862-June 1865. Compiled by John K. Burlingame. Son of Thomas & Almira (Kelley) Sisson. He married Anna Eudora Peck on Oct. 2, 1856 in Warren, Rhode Island.

He has a cenotaph in the North Burial Ground in Bristol, Rhode Island.
