Giovanna(Jennie)Giracello Marino was born to immigrant parents from Sicily,Italy.She was the eldest of six children born to Maria Panepinto Giracello,and Vincenzo(James)Giracello.They resided in Jersey City,N.J.Jennie was married at nineteen years of age to Antonio Marino,and resided in Brooklyn,N.Y.They had two children,Katherine Marino Thiede & John, four grandchildren and six great-grandchidren that all reside in Las Vegas.Jennie had a NYC Civil Service job,and worked until the age of retirement.She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Jennie had a charismatic personality with a great sense of humor.She also had a talent for music.She taught herself as a child to play the piano.
Family and friends loved to visit her.They knew it would always be a fun time and there would always be plenty to eat.She made the best italian food ever!
Jennie was always my very favorite aunt,and she raised me.I loved her as a mother,and my children considered her their grandmother.We all miss her so very much.I'm sure she was welcomed at heavens gate. She was a good Catholic,attended church regulary,and loved God.Rest in peace my dear aunt.I will remember and love you always!
