Obituary-Casper Star Tribune, November 6, 1996
Casper-Services for Charles G. Boe, 53, will be conducted in the Trinity Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Friday by Pastor David Boehnke. Interment will be in the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville.
Friends my call at Bustard's from noon to 8 p.m. today and on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., afterwhich the casket will be closed for theservice.
Mr. Boe died Nov. 4, 1996, in Casper after suffering a heart attack while hunting.
He was born Aug. 21, 1943 in Williston, ND, the son of Olaf R. and Olga D. (Holt) Boe. When he was six years old, the family moved to Deer Creek, Minn., where he first attended a country school and then went to public school in Deer Creek, graduating from Deer Creek High Schoolin 1961.
He entered the U.S. Army in October 1961. He sered his enlistment at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and following his discharge in 1963, he returned to Minnesota.
He married Carol Grewe on Sept. 5, 1964, in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. After their marriage, they lived at Wadena, Minn., where he raised turkeys.
In 1968, he purchased a farm at Wolf Lakes, Minn., where he raised turkeys.
In June 1971, he moved to Casper, where he worked for Forgey Construction until 1980, when he went to work for the Glenrock Coal Mine. He was still employed by the Glenrock Mine at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Casper.
He was preceded in death by his parent and two brothers, David and Richard.
Survivors include his wife of Casper; three children, Lisa Lange of Deer Creek, Minn., Kyle Boe of Douglas and Trent Boe of Casper; two brothers, Elenius Boe of Deer Creek and Harlow Boe of Glenrock and one granddaughter.
Either flowers or memorials to the Trinity Llutheran Church or the Central Wyoming Hospice Building Fund would be equally appreciated. Contributions may be sent in care of Bustard's 600 CY Ave, Casper, WY 82601
