She was born Elsie Hadley and was born and raised in Gentry County., the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George Hadley. She married L. T. Gartin, 19 March 1893 and he died from consumption later in 1893. Then she married William Gartin, 22 March 1895 and they located on a farm near Gentryville. She was a member of the M. E. Church of Gentryville. Burial in Gribble cemetery. She leaves her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.
