Christiana was first married to James Stafford who was born in Ireland and died in Pennsylvania after 1800. He is also believed to buried in the Robeson Plow Cemetery yard next to Christiana but his gave stone is no long visible. They were married 19 Jan 1797 in the Schwartzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, Berks Co., Pennsylvania. They had a son John Stafford born 19 Aug 1799 in Brecknock township, Berks Co, Pennsylvania. He was baptised also at Schwartzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, Berks Co., Pennsylvania on 17 Sept 1799. The Schwartzwald Reformed Church is now the Schwarzwald United Church of Christ. James appears in the 1800 census in Robeson Township, Berks Co, Penn (1 male under age 10, 1 male 26-44, 1 female under 10 and one female 26-44). Christiana appears as head of household in 1810 same place. (2 males under 10, 1 male 10 thru 15, 1 female under 10 and 1 female 26 thru 44). So after 1800 and before 1816 James died. Christiana married John Witman sometime before 1816 as their first child was born in 1816. The two sons of the marriage of John Witman and Christiana Boehm Stafford were:

Peter Witman born 18 Aug 1816 and
Daniel Witman born 24 Oct 1820.
