Angelo was the first of ten children born in Altavilla Milicia Sicily to Biaggio and Giovanna Abbinanti Dugo; Angelo, Francesco, Antonino, Santo, Vincenzo, Biagio, Rosalia, Gaetano, Giovanni, Paulina. He arrived in the US with family at an early age, and lived in the Pittsburgh area most of his life. He married Christine Farace, and they had eight children:Jeanette, Rosemary, Bernard, Rosalia (Dolly), Ignatious (Raymond), Angelo (Donald), Nicoletta (Marlene) and a child that died in infancy. He died in Youngstown, Ohio and was brought back to Pittsburgh for burial at North Side Catholic Cemetery.
