Anchorage resident Julissa Fisher-Holmes, 17, died Aug. 6, 2006, at Providence Alaska Medical Center from injuries received in a vehicle-pedestrian accident.
Julissa was born April 13, 1989, in Anchorage.
She was a senior at West High School, where she was an honor student and had received awards for playing basketball.
Julissa had also been employed at Alaska Pest Control.
She was a member of Northern Lights Baptist Church.
Julissa loved playing basketball, dancing, nature and animals.
"She was an excellent artist and had received her first award in preschool," her family said. "Julissa will be deeply missed by everyone who she has touched. She loved being with family and friends."
Survivors include her twin brother, Justin Fisher-Holmes; grandparents, Sarah Fisher and David Bailey; mother, Scottiann Fisher; sister, Mariah Colburn; brother, Mason Mitchell; cousins, Grace Fisher-Lincoln, and Ronda and Benino Fisher-Lincoln; aunts, Lisa Olrun, Mary Evon and Lydia Wheeler; numerous other relatives; and sister, Destiny McKinnon.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Henry Nansen Sr.; grandmother, Annie Nansen; uncle, Henry Nansen Jr.; and aunt, Rhonda Fisher.
