FINLEY - At West Salem, Polk County, December 29, 1905, of cancer of the stomach, Andrew Finley, Age 82 years.
Mr. Finley has been a resident of Polk County for the past thirty years, he having come to this state from Chatfield, Minn., in 1875. Deceased was a native of Pennsylvania, having been born near Pittsburg, and from there removed to Indiana when about 12 years of age.
He was married sixty years ago to Mary E. Ward at South Bend, Indiana, and the results of the union were nine children, six boys and three girls, all of whom, except two, are living. Three of the children, Daniel, Edward and Frank, are living in Salem. James M., Simon, William and Mrs. M. J. Welch still reside in Chatfield, Minn. Mrs. Finley is also living on the farm, where Mr. Finley died, she now being in her 70th year.
The funeral will occur at the home at 1:30 p. m. on Sunday, and will be conducted by Rev. W. H. Selleck, and the interment will follow immediately at City View cemetery, near this city.
