Ruby Jeanette, died at home Saturday, March 31, 2007, with her family present. She was born March 1, 1925, to Lehman and Lucy Lemley in Dover, AR. She was 1 of 4 sisters, who are all deceased. She attended college at the University of Ozarks in Clarksville, AR in 1942 and 1943. At that time she met her lifelong love and best friend, Bernie Bartlett. They were married in 1945 and had celebrated 61 years of marriage. She is survived by: her husband, Bernie; sons, Mike, Bernie, Joe, and David and daughter, Jeannette; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ruby will be remembered for her gift of hospitality and strong sense of social justice. She was active in her church as a volunteer and Religious Ed. teacher. She had been a long time volunteer for Neighbor for Neighbor. As a life long student of scripture, Mom enriched our lives with prayer and wisdom. Ruby was a wonderful cook and there was always enough room for one more at our table. She was a loyal friend, a firm and loving mother and doting grandmother.
