Maude VanZandt Barkle, formerly of Orbisonia, died Monday, January 10, 1972 a Clearwater, Florida hospital.
Born April 12, 1882 (in Orbisonia, she was a sister of Florence VanZandt Heck, deceased, of Rockhill Furnace. She was united in marriage to J. E. Barkle, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, John Egbert, Jr.; three grandchildren San Mateo, California; four
nieces and one nephew, Hanna Cyphers and William VanZandt, both or Pittsburgh; Elizabeth VanZandt of Sun City, Ariz.; Ruth Hamilton of Roanoke, Va.; and Eugenia James Culver of Westminster, Calif.
Two daughters, Frances (Barkle) Meahl and
Edith Miriam (Barkle) Ruth, preceded her in death.
