Lance Cpl. James E. Swain, 20, of Kokomo, Indiana was assigned to the Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; He was killed Nov. 15 by enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq. Surviving with his parents are a brother, Benjamin Swain, Kokomo; two sisters, Mariann Swain and Melissa Swain, both of Kokomo; his maternal grandparents, Michael and Joann Warner, Kokomo; paternal grandparents, C. Edward and Maribeth Swain, Kokomo; his great-grandmother, Thelma Bowman, Kokomo; a special niece, Carina E. Mims, Kokomo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
