William (Bill) Eichorst, Jr. was the son of the late William Charles Eichorst, Sr and the late Catherine Murphy Eichorst.
William (Bill) Eichorst, Jr. worked for over twenty years for the Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago. He was an avid bowler and a Cubs, White Sox and Bears fan. Bill truly enjoyed his life, family and friends. He had a very kind heart and was always willing to help others in need. Bill was one of those fortunate people that didn't look his age. When he would tell people that he had worked for the railroad for over twenty years their comment was usually " were you five when you started working there"? He was a great husband, father and brother who also had a very close bond with his parents. Bill passed away on July 7, 1986, from the complications of diabetes. He was a "brittle diabetic" and had been diagnosed with the disease at the age of twelve. He was thirty eight years old at the time of his death, was happily married and had three young children; Billy, age ten, Kevin age six and Kelly, age four. My biggest regret is that he was never able to see his children grow to adulthood, to attend their weddings and to become a grandfather. He loved his family so very much. He is greatly missed by all who loved him. May he rest in peace.
