COL. ADLIN P. "BUZZ" DAIGLE (RET.), 87, Houston, TX died on August 11, 2007. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with an interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Family and friends will gather after services for a reception at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Chosen Few. Col. Daigle, born January 15, 1920 in New Orleans, LA, had resided in Houston since 1968 after his retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps with 31 years of distinguished service. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis A. Daigle and Marguerite Wattigny Daigle of New Orleans; his first wife, Roselie Barron Daigle of Houston; and a brother, Stanley "Red" Daigle of New Orleans. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Daigle; sons, John and wife Eileen of Winterville, NC, Robert and wife Cindy of Sugarland, TX, Brian and wife Diana Tankersley, Barry and wife Sandra Tankersley and Bruce and wife Deidre Tankersley; daughters, Trudy D. Harris and husband Evans of Durham, NC, Dr. Brenda Peabody and husband Brett and Becki Engelhardt; sister-in-law, Alice Daigle of Gretna, LA: 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.
