Thomas E. Dockery, Jr. 41, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Simon Cancer Center, I.U. Hospital in Indianapolis.
Thomas was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 25, 1970 to James Oliver and Linda (Crow) Houghton. Tom worked as an Electronics Technician. Mr. Dockery was a U.S. Army veteran and was decorated with the Army Service Ribbon; the National Defense Service Medal; the Army Good Conduct Medal; and the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kimberly (Knarian) Dockery of Evansville, IN, three children, Spenser Knarian; Beth Dockery; and Adrian Dockery, his parents, James Oliver Houghton Sr., and Linda (Crow) Houghton; brother, Eric (Tawani) Dockery; several step-brothers; several step-sisters; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews
Thomas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Crow and Darlene Crow; and an uncle, David Crow.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor David Schultz officiating. Burial will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery. There will also be a "Celebration of Life" service held at the Elberfeld First Baptist Church immediately following the committal service at the cemetery.
