Donald Ray Cornwell, 59, of Hessville passed away Monday, November 27, 1995 at home. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, four children, Robert (Sharon) Cornwell of Schererville, Arthur (Jamie) Cornwell of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mike Cronwell of Hessville and Joan (Robert) Bishop of Burnham, Illinois; three step-children, Diane (Tim) Chant of Highland, Sue (Joe) Mieczinkowski of Hessville and Ron Enoksen of Hessville; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Edna (Stan) Vance of Munster; four brothers, John (Andrea) Cornwell of Houston, Texas, James (Priscilla) Cornwell of Seattle, Washington, Paul (Betty) Cornwell of Portage and Charles (Phyllis) Cornwell of Munster; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Catherine Cornwell, sister, Mary Ellen Echterling, brother, Robert Cornwell and grandson Donny Bishop.
Private funeral services will be held Thursday, November 30, 1995 at Virgil Huber Funeral Home with Dr. John H. Eastwood officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Virgil Huber Funeral Home, Hessville Chapel, 7051 Kennedy Avenue.
Mr. Cornwell was a Hessville resident most of his life, member of the Izaak Walton Leage in Griffith, member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Hessville and was retired from Freeport Brick as a warehouse supervisor.
