Maurice Bricka, 37, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bricka of Superior, was killed instantly Tuesday evening, September 15, at the plant of the North American Aircraft corporation (sic) in Inglewood, California, where he was employed as test flight superintendent.
The accident, according to information received here, occurred while a jet plane was being prepared for flight and Mr. Bricka, coming too near the machine was drawn into it by the jet suction and his neck broken.
Born at Edgar, Maurice lived nearly all of his live in Superior, until about five years ago when he went to California. His advancement was rapid with the airplane company, and at the time of his death he was holding a key position at the plant.
He is survived by his wife and step-daughter, his parents, one brother, Howard, and three sisters, Mrs. Freda Clark, Mrs. Marie Faye and Mrs. Justine Jacobitz.
Short funeral services will be held from the Zulauf-Denny funeral home in Superior Sunday, and the body will be taken to Clay Center for interment. -- Superior Express.
