Eda Anna Bruns, 93, the daughter of William and Emma (Rupple) Czirr, was born Feb. 4, 1902, on a farm near Daykin, NE. She died Saturday at the Good Samaritan Center, Villa Grace, Hastings, Ne.
She was married to Sigmund Wilhelm Dietrich Bruns, Oct. 7, 1920, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Byron, NE. The couple farmed east of Hardy, NE. and moved to Superior, Ne. in 1935. She moved to the Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, in 1974.
A licensed practical nurse, she worked many years in the Superior area. She was a charter member of the Centennial Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, Superior, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, also of Superior.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 28, 1971, two brothers, Walter and Herbert Czirr, and sister, Evelyn Czirr.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice McClure, Eugene, OR. Mildred Johnson, Omaha, NE.; two sons, Herb, Superior, and Arnold, Grand Junction, CO.; brother, Ray Czirr, Superior; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren;
Services were held Tuesday at the Centennial Lutheran church. The Rev. Paul Albrecht officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemtery, Superior, Ne. Williams Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of arrangements.
