Mary Arbiso, was married to (Felipe)Philip Arbiso,married 5/1/1886. She had 4 sons and 4 daughters.She was born in Los Angeles(Bunker Hill,as it was known then ).her father was mail carrier who rode from Bakerfield, and Los Angeles, in 1861.Her father was Apache, Papago Indian.
They were the parents of 4 sons, and 3 daughters. Their names were Charles b.?, Reginald b.1892,Gilbert b.1900, and Philip James b.1905. Daughters were Cora b.1897,
Hortense b.1898, and Anna b.1902.Mary was known to love her
children but even the sons who were adults were no match for her. She stood her ground and made her point across.
One or two son's changed their last name to La Marr.In
those days when someone died they would have the body inside the house like awake. Someone told me they remember
the smell of flowers and the strong fragence of gardenia.
Felipe Arbiso died November 29,1912. Then Mary Arbiso,
met Manuel Ortega, and they became a couple till death.
