Son of the late Shelby Ernest Dreyer, Sr., and Mary Christine Nicholson Dreyer, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann N. Power. He was survived by a sister, Sarah N. Parker; a brother, Shelby Ernest Dreyer, Jr; three nieces and an extended family of relatives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, GA. His graveside funeral was held July 7, 2004, with The Rev. Jimmy Long officiating.
