Orpha A. Boring, 79, of DuBois RD 4, died Tuesday at DuBois Regional Medical Center East.
She was born July 25, 1906, in Rathmel, the daughter of Harry and Arminta (Beck) Cathers. She was married to Colonel E. Boring, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Boring was a member of the United Church of Christ, and was a former clerk for Troutman's. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, DuBois Grange, Oklahoma Civil Defense Auxiliary charter member, Maple Avenue Auxiliary Daughter of Scotia, and the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Colonel E Boring, Jr. of DuBois; three daughters, Mrs. Duane (Willa) Reasinger of DuBois, Mrs. Milton (Joan) Levinson of DuBois, Mrs. George (Karen) Donahue of DuBois; three sisters, Mary Harris and Martha Reed of Reynoldsville, Phyllis Armagost of New Castle; 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, one great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Glenn and Myron.
Death Notice: Boring: Orpha A of DuBois RD 4, died April 15, 1986. Friends will be received at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, DuBois, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and until service time Friday at 11 a.m from the funeral chapel with the Rev. Timothy Dykstra officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
