My father was married to Lois Athena Davis, they had 8 children, the oldest Robert Lee-1944 deceased, Wanda Kay, Nettie Lou, Alesia Ann, Freddie Lee, Delbert Eugene, Myra Kay, and Michael Lasty.He was a farmer, and became a heavy equipment operator, land demolition, he cleared alot of land on LongBoat Key, cleared the land for DeSota Speedway, too many to list.He was from Cairo, Georgia, his parents being Benjamin Franklin Brinson and Elnora Gandy, Ona Lee was one of 9 children--Rueben,John,Ike,Dewey,Miley,Betty,Etta and Lorene. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, always had a huge vegetable garden,fruit trees, including fig trees. He could play a harmonica, fiddle and guitar, he had a third grade education, but could play anything by ear. He gave us alot of memories over the years, we always had "pets", a raccoon, a goat, he raised rabbits, we had pigs-that definetly turned into HOGS, we had a rooster--no hens, just the rooster, alot of different dogs, Reb-a red colored hound dog, he had Rusty and Queenie-who were his hunting hounds, Susie-a Beagle, and we had Saint Barnard, who's name was Buster, Sandy--our swimming hole pooch,
so many over the years.
