Birth: 1862

Death: 1938
Oklahoma City

He founded the first produce company in Oklahoma, and was a pioneer. He had two wives, one for about 40 years, my great grandmother, Mary Jane Johnston Dawson and one for not very long, Litha Page Hume Dawson. Litha had been his childhood sweetheart and had spurned him many, many years before. K.W. married Litha after Mary Jane died. K.W., as he was called and Mary Jane were in the Land Run (1889ers), loved life, had many adventures, and were pioneers when Oklahoma was still a territory.

Since you and Mary Jane founded the first produce company in Oklahoma, I couldn't resist this little icon for you. How I would love to have met you both. Love from your Great Granddaughter.

The emblem on your crypt is 32nd degree Mason. I wish I had gotten to know you. You were my great grandfather.
