Charles H. Bendig Jr.
Charles H. Bendig, Jr., born November 11, 1922, died September 4, 2010. He was born to Charles H. Bendig Sr. and Helen (Liebold) Bendig, in Harborcreek, Pa.
He received a BS from Gannon College in 1946. He worked for many years at Erie Malleable Iron, and retired from BBV as a metallurgical engineer.
He is predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie Ann (Cantlon) Bendig.
He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Margie Armstrong; six children, Mary Margaret, Charles, Ann Terese, Daniel, Julie, and John; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and by his brother, Richard Bendig.
He loved travel, history, the outdoors, his dogs, and his family.
Calling hours will be at Quinn Funeral Home in Erie, Pa., Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., with service on Friday at 11 a.m.
Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
