Faye Scott Cook Alexander, 86, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born January 25, 1921 in Chickalah, Ark., she is the daughter of the late Ode Scott and Ruby Dacus Scott.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Scott.

Faye was united in marriage to Fred Cook on February 7, 1942 in Caruthersville. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1976.

She was united in marriage to Adrian Alexander on October 21, 1978. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1997.

She graduated from Braggadocio High School with the Class of 1937.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cooter. She was also involved in a Wednesday morning prayer group known as the Fanner Bee's. She worked during WWII for Boeing Aircraft on B-29 Bombers. She was employed by Crews Reynold farms as a bookkeeper.

Mrs. Alexander leaves one son, Larry Cook and his wife Paige, of Braggadocio;
Two daughters: Barbara Lacer and her husband Roger of Cooter, Mickie Radabaugh and her husband Phil of San Marcos, Calif., and Sandra Flowers and her husband Bennie of Lake St. Louis;
Five sisters: Zola Scott of Blytheville, Ark., June Robichaud and her husband Paul of Columbia, S.C., Dixie Scott of Braggadocio, Gaye Suddarth of Hayti and Julia Robinson and her husband Larry of Glen Avon, Calif.;
Two brothers: Leon Scott and his wife Florence of Jupiter, Fla., and Joe Scott and his wife Sandy of Russellville, Ala.; and
Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 11, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Mike Hargraves officiating.

Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
