Kaleta Jewel Lightfoot Cozby, 83, of Richland Hills died Wednesday,
May 17, 2000, in Richland.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Day Memorial
United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Galloway-Edgar
officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Kaleta was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Santa Anna. She married William D.
Cozby and he preceded her in death.

She attended school in Santa Anna and graduated from Miles High
School. Before moving to Richland Hills, she lived in San Angelo from
1950 to 1998. She was a past worthy matron of San Angelo Chapter 10 of
the West Texas Order of the Eastern Star. She loved traveling and
visiting Europe. She was a homemaker and a member of Day Memorial
United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
sister who placed friends and church above all else.

Kaleta was also proceeded in death by one brother, Oral Lightfoot; two
sisters, Robbie Lee Barrett and Avyce Murphy; and two sons, Marcus and
Jacky Cozby.

She is survived by one daughter, Bertha C. Millwee; three sisters,
Jessie Burson, Myrtice Hudson and Allie Mae Bearfield; four
grandchildren, Billy Cozby, Tara Dixon, Chad Cozby, and Matthew
Millwee; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Dixon and Robin Cozby.

Not included in the obituary were her two step children who had predeased her from my grandfather's first marriage; Robert William Cozby and Juanita Christine Cozby McAtee.
