Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Charles L. Albers, age 77, of St. Cloud who took the hand of our Lord and Savior on December 8, 2009. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with full military honors at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 14.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 6 P.M. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Charles was born October 27, 1932 in Rockville, MN to Henry and Anna (Hansen) Albers. He married Marilyn Howe on October 15, 1960 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. He is a child of God, husband to Marilyn, father to Steve (Colleen) of Coon Rapids, Pam (Phil) Berling of Edina, Cheri (Rene) Marelic of Dassel and Tom (Susan) of Sauk Rapids, grandfather (with so much pride) to Michaela, John, Meghan, Tommy, Ben, Patrick Albers Greg, Beau, Holly Berling, Sarah (Michael) Schultz Mason, Mariah Marelic Hailee, Belle, Charlie, Will Albers; A brother to Florence Schroden, Ruth (Rey), Lucille, Jeannie (Pete) Mueller, Mary Lou (Don) Schmitz, Irene (Ed) Zeppelin, Joyce (Wayne) Gretsch, Bert (Dorothy) and James (Shirley). Preceding him in death are his parents, sister Virginia Feneis, infant siblings Dennis and Judy, and brother-in-laws Ferdinand Schroden and Arnie Mueller.

He will be remembered for his love of family, sports, hunting, gardening, golf, card playing and his ability as a great salesman for Sears. He was a member of Sports Inc and President of the Rox Baseball Team. He had a wonderful life and was always thoughtful of others. His sense of humor (quick wit and love of jokes) will live in all our memories.
