(From Dec. 13, 1935 Yeoman - George Elliott passed away at his home Thursday, December 5th after an illness of paralysis. He was 78 years of age and was a native of Virginia, having come to this county several years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church here and a devoted christian. He is survived by his widow; A son, John, of Paducah; Two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Arington of Lovelaceville and Mrs. Arthur Purkle of Blandville, besides a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by Rev. C.H. Warford of Oscar and Rev. J.M. Burgess. Burial was made in the cemetery here.)
