Francis Lea Abrams
Francis B., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Oliver Lea, was born February 12, 1835 in Sommerset, Kentucky; died Saturday, June 17, 1922, at the age of eighty-seven yeras, four months and five days.
She was married to Henry Abrams January 7, 1857, near Redmon, Macon county, Missouri; To this union were born eight children, four of them died in infancy and four are living. Those living are J. Abrams, Elco, Nevada, H.D. Abrams, Aztec, New Mexico and the Misses Dora and Effie Abrams whom were living at home in La Plata with the mother.
In her youth she united with the Bapitst Church later, upon moving to another community, united with Methodist Church, then twenty-four years of age when she moved to Colorado, she united with the Presbyterian Church, in which church she held her membership till her death.
She moved from Kentucky with her family when three years old. The home has been in Macon county ever since except the short time of ten years she spent in Colorado and a short time of about eighteen months in Calif.
She leaves beside her four children named, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a brother, Burch Lea of La Plata, Missouri and a sister. Mrs. Hollyman living near Atlanta, other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were conducted from the hime Sunday, June 18, by the pastor of the local Community Presbyterian Church, Rev, E.E. DeLong. Interment at Mt Tabor cemetery.
